October 2007: Taking place in The Westcliff’s elegant Loggia Restaurant on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October, the Evenings of Fine Wine start with a guided tasting of Diemersfontein’s Carpe Diem Viognier, Carpe Diem Cabernet Sauvignon, Thokozani, the Empowerment Brand, SCV (Semillon, Chenin Blanc & Viognier), Summer’s Lease and the extremely popular Diemersfontein Pinotage which is currently all the rage. The tasting will be led by winemaker Brett Rightford who is passionate about the fantastic wine-making potential of the Wellington Wine Region.
